What is this place?
A collection of links to things related to the cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash and its sidechain SmartBCH.

OK ... what is a cryptocurrency, a Bitcoin Cash, a sidechain, and a SmartBCH?
Oh boy. Okay. Entering a deep rabbit hole.😅


Cryptocurrencies are digital 'coins' that you can own and use (primarily) with anything that accesses the Internet (computer, phone, etc). They can have many different properties and functions, so it's hard to define them all under one umbrella.

Bitcoin Cash is one such cryptocurrency, and focuses on being a fast, cheap, and reliable peer-to-peer currency. A currency that could potentially replace fiat ($, €, £, ¥, etc) entirely.

 

Yes, seriously.

 

SmartBCH is an entirely different network than Bitcoin Cash and has a different purpose: contracts, programmability, Decentralized Finance (DeFI) etc. However, SmartBCH can only be used by migrating your Bitcoin Cash coins to it, which is why it's referred to as a 'sidechain'.

 

Yes, it's a lot. No, nobody understands all of cryptocurrency quickly. It's a big space that is moving faster every day, but no time to learn like the present!

Yes, just provide the relevant info to the contact details below. Keep in mind if it's deemed not to be related to Bitcoin Cash, SmartBCH, or seems somehow suspect to our completely arbitrary opinion then it will not be added. Cats are like that sometimes.

Note: we try to only list things that provide an actual usable product or service today. This means we typically won't list projects that have not launched yet, or are only a token or NFT without any function outside hodling them. (A seperate page for those may be in the future in some form).

NFT projects: The soonest we will list NFT projects is once you announce a minting date with an official countdown. (reasonable, e.g. 3 days.)

I'm new to BCH ... how complete is this websites info? Does it fully represent the BCH ecosystem?
Nope, not at all. The Bitcoin Cash ecosystem is quite large, and some areas of the world have much more activity than others. The links gathered here should get you started into some of your areas of interest, though. Most importantly, join social groups and ask questions! That's how most of this information was gathered in the first place.
